How To Find iOS or OS X Help On The Internet

A reader asked me how she could find tutorials for her new iPhone on the internet. Fortunately there is a quick and easy answer to that query. Assuming your operating system is fairly current (at minimum iOS 7 or Mountain Lion) you just open Safari and ask for help.

You actually just type in your query in the window where you would ordinarily enter a URL and hit return. You will get all kinds of responses that fit your query words instantly and you can choose from the best.

For example if I wanted to know how to set the fingerprint option on my 5s I would enter

query1

It works wonderfully well and save you endless phone calls to your children for help.

Notice that I didn’t bother with capital letters or punctuation. I did, however, have to be specific about including iPhone, which helps make the query as specific as possible. If you don’t find exactly what you want, rephrase the request and try again.

Often a specific information, such as a video, will offer other video links to related issues so you can find out all kinds of things from one search.

Try this and see if it helps.
