Quick Tips For Video iChats

If you plan to participate in video iChats over the holidays here are some tips that will make the whole thing go more smoothly.

1.  If the folks you are talking seem unwilling to make eye contact, it’s not because they don’t want to.  They are looking at you, on the screen, rather than at the camera.  You probably are doing the same thing.

2.  Only the person who starts the call can add more people.  Click the + button in the chat window, or drag a buddy’s name into the window.

3.  If you don’t want to see yourself in the picture during a video chat choose Video > Hide Local Video.

4.  You can quickly access your Buddy List by pressing ⌘1

Have fun.

These are great tips. I wonder how long it is before we see some sort of camera integrated into our displays.

Hi Frank, who knows what wonders will come from Apple next. I’m not aware of anything at this point, but then, I never am, so we will see. Perhaps I will learn something at Macworld.
