Many people who aren’t comfortable “taking on” a computer are willing to try an iPad. For that reason, I am going to periodically write about iPad issues and recommendations. For this entry I want to recommend a few apps that might be helpful.
The first is Free Books. The available books are classics – Huck Finn, Alice in Wonderland, etc., but this experience will give you a good idea of the process of using your iPad to read.
Another is AppAdvice. This app is updated daily and will tell you about any new apps that have been introduced, summarize them, and tell you where to find them.
A third one is ABC Player. Neither NBC nor CBS offers an app like this one. The ABC Player app gives you the opportunity to watch current night time shows with limited commercial breaks. With this app and the AppAdvice app, you will have to have access to WiFi to take advantage of them.
